Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Lions' picks: Round 3/65 - Larry Warford, G, 6-3, 333, Kentucky...The Lions were soft in the middle of their line last year and this All-SEC player has a chance to start immediately at right guard. Coach Jim Schwartz said Warford was "built to play guard in the NFL." The Lions are comfortable with his talent and work ethic and don't expect his weight to balloon out of control. - The Sports Xchange

01/03/15 - G Larry Warford (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
12/31/14 - G Larry Warford has to spend as much time as possible in the training room to give him a chance to play against the Cowboys after suffering a right knee injury last week against the Green Bay Packers. After missing practice Wednesday, it's doubtful that he'll play, but the team remains optimistic there's a chance.
"It sucks," he said Wednesday. "Opportunities like this don't come by every year. They talk about all time how fortunate we are to put ourselves in this position. If I don't get to play, it's just crappy."
Warford was wearing a brace on his left knee Sunday, something he hadn't done until suffering an injury in Week 10 that cost him three games. Now, after suffering another knee injury, he plans to wear a brace on both knees to hopefully avoid future injuries.
"I'll probably be bracing up for the rest of my career," he said.
12/29/14 - RG Larry Warford exited in the second quarter with a left knee injury and didn't return after being carted off, but he still hopes to return in the postseason.
"Hopefully get my knee better," Warford said when asked what he plans to do this week. "Whatever they say. If I'm ready to go or not, it's up to them. It's day to day."
Day to day is an optimistic outlook based on how Warford exited the game, walking gingerly toward the trainer's table in the second quarter and heading to the locker room shortly thereafter, but the Lions still think there's a chance he'll play against the Cowboys.
"Not ruled out at this stage, but not certain yet," coach Jim Caldwell said. "We'll have to see."
Warford declined to provide further detail on his injury Monday. He missed three games earlier this year with a left knee injury, too, and has played well in the four games since he returned.
If Warford can't play, rookie Travis Swanson would start at right tackle.
12/08/14 - ORG Larry Warford left the game for a play Sunday after an official sent him off following a hard fall but said he's healthy.
12/03/14 - ORG Larry Warford (knee) was a full participant Wednesday and will likely play Sunday after missing the last three games.
11/28/14 - RG Larry Warford (knee) was inactive for the third game in a row, and the Lions hope he can return within the next two games.
