08/25/13 - LB Meshak Williams was waived by Baltimore.
01/03/13 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: DE Meshak Williams disrupted opponents like no other Kansas State defender. He ranked second in the Big 12 with 8 1/2 sacks and forced three fumbles. Whatever attention opponents place on Williams with their blocking schemes usually gives teammate Adam Davis opportunities on the other side. Together, they form one of the Big 12's top set of bookends.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "It was crazy (after the Texas win). Everybody was happy, even coach (Bill) Snyder was smiling. You do not see that much. It was crazy and I am going to cherish every moment of this (Big 12 championship)." Kansas State DE Meshak Williams. - The Sports Xchange

He has 8.5 sacks this season, tied for the Big 12 lead, and he has improved throughout the season as 7.5 of those sacks have come in the last six games. Season stats (10 games): 32 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 4 pass break-ups, 3 forced fumbles, 1 blocked field goal. Player ranking: Williams is ranked No. 400 overall and rated the 37th-best defensive end in CBSSports.com's latest player rankings. 11/12/12 - WEEK 11 BIG 12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Meshak Williams, K-State, DE, Sr, Sylvester, Ga.,...Senior defensive end Meshak Williams led a K-State defense that held TCU to its lowest point total at home during the Gary Patterson era in a 23-10 win. Williams carded seven total tackles in the game, including three for losses, while also tallying two sacks and one pass breakup. - Big 12 football
10/23/12 - OCT 22 NFL DRAFT SCOUT RISER: DE MESHAK WILLIAMS, KANSAS STATE...Led by the Heisman frontrunner quarterback Collin Klein, Kansas State is undefeated at 7-0 and impressing doubters each week. And as good as Klein and the offense have been, the Wildcat defense deserves some credit as well, holding West Virginia’s high-octane offense to just 14 points on Saturday. In that game, defensive end Meshak Williams set a new career-best with 2.5 sacks, adding five tackles and a forced fumble. With a team-high 5.5 sacks on the season, the senior has steadily become more of a factor off the edge with each game, using his active playing style to get past blockers and blow up the backfield. Williams has good initial burst off the snap and closes quickly in pursuit, recognizing run or pass. Listed at just 6-3 and 245 pounds, he lacks an ideal frame, but does a nice job using his limbs to take on blocks and use different arm and hand techniques to get past the initial blocker to be a factor in the play. Williams will be a candidate to be a stand-up rush linebacker at the next level, but he plays a tad tight when asked to drop and play in space. Kansas State has several draft prospects on defense, most notably linebacker Arthur Brown and cornerback Nigel Malone. But Williams has also emerged as a viable NFL prospect and a player who is rising for pro scouts. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
08/01/12 - 2012 PRESEASON TED HENDRICKS AWARD WATCH LIST: MESHAK WILLIAMS, KANSAS STATE, has been selected a preseason candidate for the 2012 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award. On-field performance, exceptional winning attitude, leadership abilities, contributions to school and community and academic preparedness are some of the criteria used to determine the Award’s winner. Williams is up for the award that honors the nation’s top defensive end, and he is the first Wildcat up for the award since Ian Campbell was a three-time candidate from 2006 to 2008, including a semifinalist in 2006. A native of Sylvester, Ga., Williams’ candidacy for the award is the 16th for the Wildcats this season, five more than the previous school record of 11 held by the 1998 squad. A former community college transfer, Williams was instrumental to the K-State defense last season as he carded 10 tackles for loss, including seven sacks to tie for sixth in the Big 12. Williams earned Second Team All-Big 12 accolades from Rivals.com, while he was an honorable mention selection by the Associated Press. - Kansas State football
