Steven Means

OLB, DE · Buffalo
Means wasn't able to earn an invitation to the Scouting Combine, but representatives from 18 NFL teams showed up to Buffalo's pro day, where Means ran "really, really well," according to an AFC scout. "Means absolutely looked the part today," an NFC scout told the Buffalo News. He was timed in the 4.6-second range, but the question is where Means will fit in the NFL - as an outside linebacker or at defensive end. He finished his career fourth in school history with 18.5 sacks, working as a starter ever since the middle of his freshman season. He racked up 77 tackles, 6.5 sacks and three blocked kicks in his senior season. "I felt like I tested pretty good with the scouts," he said after his pro day. "The way I'm holding my weight and the way I'm moving, they were real impressed by that."

A two-time All-Western New York selection while playing at Grover Cleveland High School for head coach Tony Alessi

had 108 tackles, 20 sacks, an interception and five forced fumbles as a senior

team was the runner up for the Harvard Cup.
