State (21-104; 1985) and Rutgers (25-130; 1987) and signed with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys following collegiate career ... late uncle, Quincy Monk, earned four letters (1998-99-2000-01) as a linebacker at the University of North Carolina, was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the New York Giants in 2002 and played three professional seasons with the Giants (2002-03) and Houston Texans (2004).
