UPDATES

Week 9: Worthy set the tone as a punt returner in No. 7 Texas' thumping of visiting BYU, 35-6. He took back a punt 74 yards early in the first quarter to give Texas a 7-0 lead. He returned a second punt for 15 yards. As a receiver, it was a relatively quiet day for the speedy wideout; he caught four passes but was limited to 28 yards and did not reach the end zone. — JH

Week 8: Worthy returned to action in Texas' 31-24 win over Houston and grabbed six passes for 92 yards. His lone TD, a 42-yard catch on a gem of a deep throw from Quinn Ewers put the Longhornns up 14-0 in the first half. It was Worthy's fourth TD of the season. The speedster also returned two punts for a total of 23 yards. — JH

Week 7: DP — Texas had a bye week.

Week 6: In Texas' first loss of the season, a 34-30 setback to Oklahoma, Worthy lived up to his name, catching eight Quinn Ewers passes for 108 yards. But for the second straight week, the Texas burner was kept out of the end zone. He also didn't make an impact in the return game (fielded one punt, with a one-yard return). — JH

Week 5: Worthy returned to his dominant self against Kansas, as Texas whupped the Jayhawks, 40-14. The explosive wideout caught seven passes for 93 yards, with half of his yardage total coming after the catch. Worthy was was kept out of the end zone for the first time since the season opener. — JH

Week 4: Against Baylor in Texas' 38-6 romp, Worthy had his fewest targets (3) and catches (3) on the year, totaling 31 receiving yards. He still hauled in a TD pass with one of the trio of catches, his third score of the year. Worthy had another impressive day in the return game: 50 yards on three returns, sparked by a long of 40 yards. — JH

Week 3: Targeted six times in Texas' 31-10 over visiting Wyoming, Worthy caught four passes for 56 yards, and showed his blazing speed and elusiveness, taking a short Ewers pass at the start of the fourth quarter, and scooting up the sideline for another 44-yard score. The quick strike broke 10-10 tie against the game and tenacious Cowboys. That Worthy's two 44-yard scoring strikes over the past two games were so different in kind — but both so electrifying — shows he can score from anywhere, and gives some hint as to the big-play threat he could be at the next level. Worthy also made his presence felt in the return game, returning four punts for 59 yards, including a long of 32. — JH

Week 2: Worthy lived up to his name in Texas' stunning ____ road win against Alabama. The wideout, matched up at times against Tide All-American corner Kook-Aid McKinstry, hauled in five passes for 75 yards, including a marvelous over-the-shoulder grab for a 44-yard TD, running under a perfect, high-arcing toss from QB Quinn Ewers. Worthy could have had an ever bigger stat line but had another Ewers throw bounce off his hands at the goal line after he had gotten separation from McKinistry. Worthy divided his snaps on passing plays between playing out wide (22 snaps) and operating from the slot (17). — JH

Week 1: In Texas' season-opening win over Rice, 37-10, Worthy grabbed seven passes in 10 targets for 90 yards (12.9 YPC). The wide receiver played 56 total snaps and lined up mostly at wide receiver (28 snaps). — JH
