Cameron Brate

TE · Harvard
Brate was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy as a senior as a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team. He leaves Harvard ranked fourth in school history with 18 career touchdown catches and was second on the team with 25 receptions for 403 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Brate impressed NFL scouts on hand with a 4.77-second clocking in the 40-yard dash at his March 12 pro day to go with 24 reps on the 225-pound bench press, a 33 1/2-inch vertical, 9'9" broad jump, 4.48 short shuttle and 7.16 3-cone drill.

strengths

Extremely bright player who should have little trouble grasping an NFL playbook. Has potential to serve as a "move" tight end who could also handle H-back duties.

weaknesses

Level of competition concerns coming out of the Ivy League. Good, but not great, agility test numbers. Will he be able to gain separation against NFL linebackers and safeties?
