Dwayne Washington

A three-star wide receiver recruit out of high school, Washington redshirted in 2012 at Washington and moved to running back. After rushing for 332 yards as a back-up in 2013, he climbed to the top of the depth chart as a sophomore and led the team in rushing in 2014 with 697 yards and nine touchdowns. Washington saw his role diminish as a junior due to a nagging knee issue and the emergence of freshman Myles Gaskin, but he set career-bests catching the ball with 25 receptions for 315 yards. With Gaskins not going anywhere and the recent birth of his daughter (Nori), Washington chose to enter the 2016 NFL Draft early.

he is taller than ideal for the position and lacks commitment between the tackles, preferring to bounce runs outside. washington has ball security issues and makes too many unnecessary moves, allowing defenders to lock in, but his ability as a pass-catcher could be his saving grace - worth a camp invite if the medicals check out.

Named to the Long Beach Press-Telegram "Dream Team" after 2011 season

finished senior season with 66 catches for 1,338 yards (20-plus yards per catch) and 15 touchdowns

posted 100 or more yards receiving in nine of 10 games as a senior

10 receptions for a season-high 205 yards and two TDs in a win over Lynwood

had seven catches for 195 yards and three scores in season-opening win over Long Beach Millikan

five receptions for 190 yards and two scores vs. Northwood and seven catches for 160 and three TDs vs. Artesia

helped lead Gladiators to a 7-3 overall record in 2011

also a sprinter and long jumper on the track team
