Dominick Jackson

OG, OT · Alabama
Due to academic issues, Jackson was forced to go the JUCO route after high school and enrolled at College of San Mateo. He starred for two seasons in their Wing-T offense, developing into one of the top JUCO recruits in the country. Jackson originally committed to UCLA, but flipped to Alabama and served as a back-up junior in 2014. He won the starting right tackle job as a senior in 2015 and started 14 games for the National Champs, earning Second Team All-SEC honors.

jackson has adequate set-up and mirror quickness, but lacks the shuffle range and arm length to stay on the outside, something clemson left end kevin dodd exposed in the title game with 3.0 sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss. although often late with his hands, jackson has the base strength to absorb contact and reset his anchor to slow defenders mid-rush. while his traits don't translate to tackle in the nfl, jackson has the competitive appetite and core power that gives him a chance at guard.
