Clay Harbor

FB, TE/H-BACK · Missouri State
Harbor is the sort of hybrid moving tight end/fullback combo player that many NFL offenses like to use as a positional blocker on the edge and a matchup problem for safeties and linebackers. Though Harbor began his career in Maryville (where his older brother Cory also played) as a wide receiver, his shift to tight end as a redshirt sophomore in 2007 put him on scouts' radars. He wound up a three-time all-Gateway/Missouri Valley Football Conference (the conference changed names in 2008) player for the Bears, and earned many All-American honors because of his receiving skills. He leaves as the school's all-time leader with 150 receptions and ranked third in receiving yards (1,906 yards). As a senior, Harbor's 59 catches for 729 yards and four touchdowns reflected his ability to get open in zones and stretch the field. His blocking also greatly improved during his career, allowing scouts to imagine him playing early downs as a motion tight end. It's likely a team will pick him up between the late second to early fourth rounds because of the versatility he's shown.
