Duron Harmon

Harmon started the past 26 games for the Scarlet Knights and played in every game over his final three seasons. He was a two-way starter at running back and safety at Caesar Rodney high school in Magnolia, Del., and was named the Delaware State Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Harmon appeared in 12 games as a true freshman, primarily on special teams, before cracking the two-deep depth chart as a sophomore. He took over a starting job as a junior, registering 39 tackles and was second in the Big East with five interceptions. He was also named to the Big East All-Academic team. Harmon again started all 13 games last season, collecting a career-high 50 tackles to go with seven pass break-ups and was named to the first-team All-Big East first team. He managed just one interception, but was named by NFLDraftScout.com's Dane Brugler as the top Rutgers prospect who may not get drafted. The Patriots were even higher on Harmon, selecting him in the third round. Scouts began to take further notice of Harmon with a strong week at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl following his senior season.
