Glover Tabbed to Shrine Bowl 1000 List

Georgia State senior offensive tackle Travis Glover has been named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000, a watch list for the annual collegiate all-star game.
The 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl™ will be played at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on February 1, 2024. Recognized as the oldest college football all-star game in the country, 2024 marks the 99th edition of the East-West Shrine Bowl. Approximately 130 college football players from 100 universities will compete in the game and showcase their skills in front of NFL scouts and a national television audience.
Glover and the Panthers begin preseason camp on Aug. 1 in preparation for Georgia State's Aug. 31 season opener, when GSU hosts Rhode Island at 7 p.m. at Center Parc Stadium.
Glover, the super senior left tackle from Vienna, Ga., is a is 2023 Preseason All-Sun Belt selection by Phil Steele and Athlon as he enters his fifth season as a starting offensive lineman for the Panthers. He has paved the way for GSU to average 220.5 rushing per game in his four seasons as a starter, more than all but six schools in the nation during that period. Glover has helped GSU rank No. 14 in FBS in rushing in 2022, No. 8 in 2021 and No. 12 in 2019.
Last season, Glover helped Georgia State average 213.5 rushing yards per game to rank No. 14 in FBS.
Glover entered the starting lineup at right tackle as a redshirt freshman in 2019, when he was of a GSU offensive line that helped the Panthers set school records for rushing yards (3,141), rushing touchdowns (30), total offense (5,818), first downs (305), touchdowns (53) and points (406) in 2019. He was named to the 2019 FWAA-Shaun Alexander Freshman All-America team.
Since then, he has also started at left tackle and left guard.
