Two dozen NFL players claimed off waivers

After the so-called final cutdown to 53 players there is plenty of action around the NFL as teams scramble to reload with the discards of others.
Before teams are allowed to sign players to their 16-man practice squad, the recently cut players who have fewer than four accrued seasons must go through waivers -- where any other team can "claim" them.
If a player is not claimed, or "clears waivers," he is eligible to sign with a practice squad.
Waiver wire claims went through at noon ET on Wednesday, and 24 total players were scooped up.
The Arizona Cardinals claimed a whopping six players off of waivers, and the Houston Texans claimed two members formerly of the Buffalo Bills. Additionally, the Bills and San Francisco 49ers led all teams with three former players being claimed.
