What do OU football fans need to know to attend Meet the Sooners Day?

NORMAN — For the first time since 2019, OU football will host "Meet the Sooners Day. " The event will be held Aug. 5 from 1-3 p.

m. on the main concourse at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The event is open only to members of the Crimson and Cream Collective (ages 13 and above) and Sooner Jr.

Kids Club members (ages 12 and under). Sooner Jr. Kids Club members must be accompanied by one adult guest while Crimson and Cream Collective members are not permitted to bring a guess, unless the guest is a Sooner Jr.

Kids Club member. Crimson and Cream Collective memberships begin at $10 monthly while Sooner Jr. Kids Club memberships are $50 for an annual membership.

The line for attendees will form at Gate 5 in the stadium's northwest corner, flowing under the Asp Avenue Parking Facility on the west side of the stadium and OU's clear-bag policy will be in effect, with metal detectors in use as well. The event will also feature the Sooner Schooner, as well as the OU soccer team. The Sooner Shop, located on the bottom level of the parking facility just outside Gate 2 of the stadium, will be open from 10 a.

m. to 5 p. m.

While concession stands will not be serving food, water will be available for purchase and Kona Ice will have shaved ice for purchase from noon to 3 p. m. Patrons can bring their own food and bottled water into the event.

Parking will be available in both the Asp Avenue Parking Facility and the Jenkins Avenue Parking Facility southwest of Lindsey and Jenkins as well as in surface lots east of the stadium. .
