WATCH: JD PicKell says time for patience with Texas football is over

As a college football head coach you are only given so long of a grace period to find success before you are shown the door. Things such as the previous regime’s lasting effects, recruiting, and on-field improvement are all factored in but we often see coaches get some time to flip the culture and program. For Texas’ Steve Sarkisian, his grace period appears to be over.

D. PicKell (@jdpickell) July 28, 2023 Anything other than at least a Big 12 title appearance will begin to have Texas fans calling for Steve Sarkisian’s job, and a lot of doubts would begin to flourish in terms of whether he’s the right guy for the job. Luckily for him he has assembled one of the most talented rosters in the country, and their path to glory is as clear as ever.

Texas fans are eager for 2023 and it’s hard to blame them. Follow all of your favorite Texas teams at Longhorns Wire, Cowboys Wire, Texans Wire, Rockets Wire, Aggies Wire and the Austin American-Statesman! .
