Ole Miss football, Lane Kiffin land Miami transfer Chris Graves Jr.
OXFORD — Ole Miss football landed its second highly touted defensive transfer of the weekend when former Miami cornerback Chris Graves Jr. announced his commitment Sunday night to play for the Rebels. Graves entered the transfer portal following one season with the Hurricanes in which he did not play.
He'll have four years of eligibility remaining to use in Oxford. From Fort Myers, Florida, Graves is listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and was rated a four-star prospect coming out of Bishop Verot High School. The 247Sports Composite ranked him the No.
161 overall prospect in his class. Ole Miss was among his lengthy list of offers before he signed with Miami. He joins Clemson transfer linebacker TJ Dudley, who announced on Friday night his intent to transfer to Ole Miss.
Dudley also arrives following a redshirt freshman season. Graves is the latest name to join the Rebels as part of new defensive coordinator Pete Golding's extensive efforts to rebuild the secondary. Graves will be one of at least seven transfer additions to the Rebels' defensive backfield.
