TCU football lands two commitments during busy recruiting weekend
TCU had an eventful weekend on the recruiting trail with a pair of commitments and one decommit. Let’s start with the good news. The Horned Frogs added two three-star prospects to the 2024 class with pledges from Creece Brister and Devondre McGee.
Brister stars at Stephenville and is rated a top-50 interior offensive lineman nationally by 247Sports. Brister picked the Horned Frogs over offers from Air Force and Texas Tech among others. While Brister committed in the afternoon, McGee announced he was committing to TCU late Sunday night.
The Horned Frogs were able to beat out Ole Miss, Texas A&M and SMU for the services of the cornerback from Conroe, Texas. 247Sports rated McGee as a top-50 cornerback nationally and a top-100 recruit in the state of Texas. TCU is now up to 13 commitments and currently has the No.
50 class overall. In the 2025 class TCU lost a commitment from four-star receiver Adrian Wilson. Wilson committed to the Horned Frogs on June 25, but flipped to Oregon on Saturday.
TCU still has four-star quarterback Ty Hawkins committed for 2025. .
