Oregon State Beavers running back Jam Griffin enters the transfer portal
The Oregonian/OregonLive Oregon State running back Jam Griffin has entered the transfer portal just two days before the start of the Beavers’ preseason camp. Griffin, a 5-foot-9, 212-pound redshirt junior, transferred to Oregon State from Georgia Tech last year, when he rushed 86 times for 488 yards and four touchdowns. Griffin exits a crowded position at OSU.
The Beavers return all-Pac-12 running back Damien Martinez, as well as veterans Deshaun Fenwick and Isaiah Newell. All three received significant playing time during the 2022 season. Griffin spent three years at Georgia Tech, playing in 21 games and rushing for 377 yards and two touchdowns.
As a graduate transfer, Griffin is eligible to participate immediately for a new team this season. He has two years of eligiblity remaining. .
