DT Nick Fairley was arrested Friday and charged with menacing. Fairley was arrested Friday afternoon in Mobile, Ala., for allegedly threatening someone with a gun. He was charged with two counts of menacing, Al.com reported. No one was injured in the incident, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office. Fairley was released just over an hour after he was booked and faces a January court date. ...

WR Deontez Alexander was signed by the Lions to their practice squad Friday (Nov. 30 1). He had been waived from reserve/injured with an injury settlement by the Lions Aug. 9. Alexander returns to the Lions after spending a portion of training camp with the team. He originally signed with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Franklin College following the 2018 draft.

RB Alex Collins was placed on injured reserve. Collins has been hobbled by a foot injury for the past few weeks and lost his starting job to undrafted free agent Gus Edwards last week. Although he led the Ravens in rushing (411 yards) and touchdowns (8), Collins was averaging just 3.6 yards per carry and eclipsed 60 rushing yards in only one game this season.

WR Brandon Marshall was inactive Thursday for the third consecutive game since being signed as a free agent.

RB Mark Ingram II had season-lows in both rushes (seven) and rushing yards (27).

WR Michael Thomas had his third consecutive relatively quiet game Thursday, finishing with five catches for 40 yards. He has had five or fewer catches in three consecutive games after averaging eight catches per game through the first 10 games. He was kept out of the end zone for a second consecutive game.

QB Drew Brees operated with limitations he hasn't been used to, and that limited his productivity. The poor running game and shaky pass protection contributed to Brees having season-lows in yards per attempt (4.5) and passer rating (71.6).

DT David Onyemata had the most productive game of his three-year career in leading a fine defensive effort against the Cowboys. He had three sacks after getting just two sacks total in his previous 43 games.

DE J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans on Friday was listed as questionable for Sunday's home game against the Cleveland Browns because of a knee injury. Even though there was no talk during the week about Watt possibly missing a game for the first time this season, he was limited in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before the final injury report was published. QB Chase Daniel will start again for the Bears on Sunday against the Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., with Mitchell Trubisky listed as doubtful because of a right shoulder injury. Daniel passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Bears to a 23-16 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, with Trubisky watching the game from the bench in street clothes.
