RT James Hurst (back) has missed three consecutive games and was held out of practice Wednesday. Hurst is a valuable lineman capable of playing multiple positions.

LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday after missing the previous game against the Steelers. Stanley said he is "day-to-day" and uncertain whether he could play against the Bengals in Week 11.

QB Joe Flacco (right hip) did not practice Wednesday and will be a "game-time decision" whether to start against the Bengals on Sunday. Flacco suffered the injury in the previous game against the Steelers. He was hurt in the first series but finished the game and completed 23 of 27 passes for 209 yards.

DT Kawann Short is tied for the NFL lead among defensive tackles with 7.5 run stuffs this season. He shares the distinction with Detroit DT Damon Harrison Sr.

CB James Bradberry missed a practice this week because of illness, but he was back the next day so there shouldn't be an issue regarding his status to face the Lions.

WR Torrey Smith suffered a knee injury last month against Philadelphia and missed three games. He has been back for some practice work this week on a limited basis, so it's unlikely he'll suit up for the Detroit game.

T Rick Leonard was signed to the practice squad, the Arizona Cardinals announced Wednesday. Leonard was a fourth-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in the 2018 NFL Draft after being a two-year starter with Florida State. He spent the preseason with the Saints before being released on Sept 1. The 21-year-old latched on with the Rams practice squad before being released on Nov. 6.

QB Ben Roethlisberger told reporters that he did not receive a response after texting running back Le'Veon Bell prior to the 4 p.m. ET reporting deadline on Tuesday. By electing against showing up, Bell forfeited the 2018 season -- and $14.5 million in earnings on the franchise tag. The 26-year-old Bell will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. LB Lavonte David's availability for Sunday's road game against the New York Giants is in question after he sustained a sprained MCL in his right knee.
